Your host is Mark (Hello!); I live on the property and love sharing our special location with you. I respect your privacy; so you may not see me, however I love it when you ring my door bell (or sms) to say hello. I'll answer your questions, give you lots of local information and try really hard to make your hoilday wonderful. :-)

 

Coastal View Cabins feature superb sea and mountain views, and is set on a complimentary 10 idyllic acre farm. Our guests wake up with local flora and fauna as we have saved and protect three acres of native sanctuary, made up of old growth really dense natural bush that forms part of a nature corridor.

We are situated only 3 minutes’ drive to the gates of Wilson’s Promontory National Park, and 2 minutes from a walking beach and boat ramp. (There is no direct access to a beach from our property.)

 

There are domestic animals in our pastures. Alpacas (one was born here) who protect our sheep and their lambs. Our sheep look a bit different; they are mostly Dorper which are self-shedding sheep from South Africa. Guests often enjoy having the shy alpacas and the greedy sheep eat right out of their hands. Just ask for some feed.

  

Within 20 minutes of Coastal View Cabins there is all the shopping or casual dining you will need, and several(!) beaches ranging from quite safe to surf, plus opportunities to see lots of wild native animals, birds and flora. In season you may even spot a whale! Wake to sunrises over Nooramunga Marine and Coastal National Park with 20 species of international migratory waders. Or take an evening stroll along Foley Road for sunsets over Shallow Inlet. Stop to listen and hear the surf crash endlessly onto Waratah Bay and the Promontory. Ask Mark if you have a special interest item that you would like to see.

 

Coastal View Cabins provides 4 separate premium quality luxurious cabins for couples or singles. Each is furnished in a classical contemporary style that utilises timber and soft comfortable tones. The 2 Deluxe Spa Cabins (recently fully refurbished and newly furnished) are at the top of our property and the 2 Luxury Spa Cabins are half a kilometre away at the other end of our internal road! Each cabin is purpose designed for self-catering adult couples or singles and has its own private kitchen, BBQ, spa, lounge, smart TV and bathroom. There is an open feel to each cabin, with large feature view windows and doors. Which allow access onto your own timber deck, with outdoor seating overlooking sections of the gardens and the world class ocean views with Wilson’s Promontory as the ultimate backdrop. Of course fresh linen, doona coves and towels are supplied.

 

Other facilities include a share laundry with free washing powder, a reception, live in dedicated owner, Mark, who is passionate about providing every guest the experience that he would want for himself. There is a large deep dam centered in 2 fenced paddocks where you may spy a cormorant and a pair of wild ducks making their home. Half way down our internal road is a wonderful wagon seat, made from fully recycled materials, guests can just relax there, or at night, if the conditions are right try and see the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis.)
